Andrew Kamiti is a self- taught professional artist born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1970. He has a real passion for Kenyan birds, the subject matter for which he is most renowned.

Andrew spends several hours working on a small area just so as to accomplish the required effect. His preferred painting medium is Water colours, which allows him to achieve the colour and detail that he is famous for.

His love for Birds and nature in general has seen him travel the width and breadth of Kenya in search of painting subjects.

Due to the detailed style of his work He works very closely from his own photographs, as well as from specimens and plant cuttings.
